Building a shared agenda -
conflict management in partnership working

A practical course for strategic planners, project managers and team leaders on how
to map and negotiate organisational conflicts of interest in
inter-departmental and multi-agency projects.

Course includes:

A definition of partnership working and characteristics of healthy partnerships
Conflict mapping - the impact of different organisational cultures
Use of language and clarity of communication
Practising negotiation skills and working towards consensus
Finding ways to handle power imbalances within partnerships.


 

 

By the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:

Identify where conflict is becoming a problem within partnerships
Identify blocks to efficient communication and strategies to overcome them
Recognise and deal effectively with power imbalances within partnerships
Identify shared goals and objectives to develop a common purpose
Use conflict resolution techniques to create and maintain healthy working partnerships.
